Many, many thanks for putting on these wonderful pictures. It is a special interest to me as my great, great grandfather, John Dyott Gardner is on the Gardner band picture. His brother George is the one on the glass bending machine photo and Ivy Cottage on Knowsley Rd is where my dad was born and we have been trying for some time to find out when the cottage came down. Thanks a million. Joyce Broughton (nee Gardner)

I must admit, the pubs do look grim - I also wonder if there will be any left in a few years, certainly they're dissapearing round here and being rpelaced by housing!

Great job Lee, it is great to see that someone is willing to put the time in to show the younger generation how their ancestors lived and without the sacrifices they made they wouldn't be here today. Too many old photos are just chucked out and these are a credit to you. On a darker side I was looking at the old pubs and couldn't believe how grim they looked. I will definitely make this site one of my favourites.

Glad you enjoyed them.

I still have the other book to go through, though sadly I don't think there are any more of the engineers. I will try to scan / add them next week.
